The new year started with a special highlight: Being part of the Opening Ceremony of the 51. Sixdays in the ÖVB Arena Bremen. Together with my friends and colleagues Ludger K. and Frank Wolf we presented a highly energetic show for thousands of visitors just before the official starting shot. A big “Thanks” to Stefan Wulff from GOP Varieté and everybody involved.
CircusTalk , a social marketplace for the international circus community has been launched recently. Working out of New York City it’s connecting people from the industry in a new way. I’m happy to be able to contribute my inside view from time to time, thanks to Viveca Gardiner. Check out my latest article HERE
Can you play with gravity in a special way for a promotional event ? Based on this request, we created a spectacular press event for the start of ticketsales at a show venue, where we performed the show “LICHTGESTALTEN” : We landed with parachutes and the first set of tickets directly at the venue. The client wanted a spectacular moment with a big impact and guess what: It was a huge success with the media ( Neue Presse / HAZ ) and on the side a fun day above Hannover for us and everybody else involved!
With over 28000 visitors in 8 weeks LICHTGESTALTEN celebrated the 10th year of successful Wintershows in the beautiful Orangerie Hannover with a sales record. Not only the numbers, but also the show was impressive and a big success with the press and the public.
After a successful collaboration for a major “Circus meets Classics” production in 2011 the Pilzen Philharmonic Orchestra and Martin Mall maintained a professional friendship. This led to an invitation to perform as a special guest at the official “News Years Concert” in one of the most beautiful concert venues in Pilsen. Despite the short rehearsal period of just 2 hours, Martin Mall presented a flawless performance of his signature piece “Cello in Motion” together with the cello group of the orchestra, as well as a interpretation of Khachaturian’s “Sabre Dance” and Brahms’ “Hungarian Dance No.5″ for orchestra and Diabolo. The concert was a big success and the surprising appearance of a visual artist created a memorable start into a great concert season.
